Rubys Radar and Zane Davis Take The Crown

The top 15 riders on the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Open rider eligibility list, based on a three-year average, were invited to compete in the $150,000 Teton Ridge Invitational Fence Work Challenge, consisting of rein and herd work. After an exciting evening, Rubys Radar and Zane Davis were crowned the Champions with their rein work score of 224.5 and fence work score of 229, which made for a total 453.5.

NRCHA Eastern Derby Daybreak

Todd Crawford was draw four in a 16-horse Open Bridle Spectacular cow work field. He ignited the arena with a textbook, and thrilling, fence run, then waited to see if his 146 on the cow would keep him atop the class. When the final whistle blew, Crawford and Jerry Smoke (Dual R Smokin x Kool Arista Cat x Cats Merada), owned and bred by J Five Horse Ranch Management, marked a 435 (R:144/H:145/C:146) to earn the title and $2,940 at the Dom Conicelli Memorial Eastern Derby.

2021 ERCHA-NRCHA Bridle Spectacular

Ludwig QH - Schwantelhof-Bitz, Germany July 8-10, 2021

On July 8, the beautiful Ludwig Quarter Horses facility opened the doors to the 2021 ERCHA/NRCHA Bridle Spectacular held concurrent with the NRHA Germany Reining Masters.

The ERCHA and NRCHA approved all ages event is open to all breeds and  horses regardless of their show record. "Although the rain accompanied us throughout the week, the show went really well,” said ERCHA President Markus Schopfer.  “We enjoyed organizing this show concurrently with the NRHA Germany Reining Masters at Grischa’s [Ludwig] facility, and we have all the credentials to organize this event again next year.”

2021 ERCHA/NRCHA Derby

The 2021 ERCHA/NRCHA Derby is in the books!

Provided by International Horse Press—Another successful even took place in Travagliato (Italy); the friendly atmosphere, even behind closed doors, was filled with talented horses and riders vying for the Championship titles.
To guarantee the safety of all the contestants, both a strict  Covid-19 and EHV-1 protocol was followed.

2021 ERCHA/NRCHA Spring Stakes

After months of lockdown, the European Reined Cow Horse Association (ERCHA) show season finally started with the with the highly anticipated ERCHA/National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) Spring Stakes.
The success of the event was also guaranteed by the Covid-19 protocol adopted which allowed it to be held safely and simplify the participation of many foreign riders.

NRCHA Stallion Stakes Open & Non Pro Champions Awarded

Six set of finalists put on a show worthy of the Las Vegas lights on Saturday, April 3, at the South Point Arena & Equestrian Center for the 2021 NRCHA Stallion Stakes Open and Non Pro Finals! When the last cow was circled Erin Taormino and Hazardouz Materials, owned by Linda Mars, were the Open Champions, and Hope Mills and A Gritty Kitty took home the Non Pro Championship.

The atmosphere on Open Snaffle Bit Futurity finals night inside Will Rogers Coliseum was nothing short of adrenaline-charged as fans were treated to one dynamic performance after another at the $1.3 million National Reined Cow Horse Association Snaffle Bit Futurity, presented by Metallic Cat.
The crowning of Open, Cinch Intermediate Open and Limited Open champions represented the dreams of owners, breeders and trainers coming to fruition. In typical reined cow horse fashion it all came down to the fence work.

Following up on their consistent performances of 214.5 out of the herd and 215.5 in the reined work, Bret Paulick and IllBeYourHickleberry laid down a 222 in the fence work to clench the Non Pro Snaffle Bit Futurity championship and $25,000. Paulick's 652 composite also won the Intermediate Non Pro title for another $8,676. IllBeYourHickleBerry is by Hickory Holly Time and out of Miss Slic Smoke, by Chick N San, and is owned and bred by Bret and Amie Paulick, Erdra, Utah.
