Langston Pattillo on Zinging Some Reys
Langston Pattillo, 2018 NCHA Amateur Rider of the Year, won both the 2018 NCHA Classic Challenge Amateur and Amateur Unlimited championships on High Stylin CD, and also placed third in the 2019 Classic Challenge Non-Pro Finals on the High Brow CD gelding. Zinging Some Reys LTE $3,828, Pattillo’s 2019 Derby mount, is sired by Stylin Cat, and was previously shown by Gail Hooper, in Amateur and Amateur Unlimited competition.
Marco Salvatori, Modena, Italy, an NCHA European Non-Pro reserve champion, was an NCHA Super Stakes Amateur and Unlimited Amateur finalist aboard Twisted Red Faye LTE $8,727, by Smart Rey Pepto.
Barnwell Ramsey won the 2016 NCHA Futurity Amateur championship on Reyzurbetsonthiscat LTE $145,059. This year, Ramsey placed fifth in the Augusta Futurity Amateur Unlimited Finals with Reyzn Checks LTE $24,146 and fifth in the Non-Pro Finals on Reyzurbetsonthiscat. Reyzn Checks, by Im Countin Checks, and Reyzurbetsonthiscat, by Bet Hesa Cat, are half-siblings out of Ariel Rey LTE $100,480, by Dual Rey.
The NCHA Derby Rios of Mercedes Finals and the McAlister Assets Unlimited Amateur Finals will be held on Thursday, July 25.
