Andrea Stillo Elected to RHF Board of Directors
The Reining Horse Foundation Board of Directors has elected Andrea Stillo of Pilot Point, Texas, to serve on the Board of Directors. Under RHF Bylaws, the recommendation was reviewed and approved by the NRHA Board of Directors at the August meeting.

The 2020 Idaho CHA Futurity, at Idaho Horse Park in Nampa, concluded its 10-day agenda on August 30, with a full slate of Non-Pro and Amateur working finals.
Non-Pro 4-Year-Old Derby
Janet Westfall, Los Olivos, Calif., was winner of the Derby 4-Year-Old with 217 points on Sugarlesss LTE $26,061, a homegrown Kit Kat Sugar gelding, who her husband, Russ, had shown to place twelfth in the Open Finals. Sugarlesss is out of the CD Royal daughter Lil Bit Reckless LTE $231,124, who won the 2010 Idaho Futurity 5/6 Open Classic under Russ Westfall, while Janet claimed reserve in the Non-Pro Finals.
2020 NRCHA World Championship Qualification
After extensive research and consideration, the NRCHA Board of Directors have modified World Championship qualification requirements for the 2020 show season. The show season will end on November 15, 2020, as usual, but the "top twenty" and "in the same region" requirements have been waived for this year.
2020 NRCHA Stallion Stakes Spectacular Daily Update
The National Reined Cow Horse Association has returned to fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada, for the Stallion Stakes. For eight consecutive years, the elite South Point Arena and Equestrian Center has been home to the NRCHA Stakes.
The event, historically held in March, features 4-and 5-year-old horses who are sired by Subscribed Stallions. This year, the rescheduled Stakes will also feature a Pre-Futurity for 3-year-old horses. In addition to these robust limited age events, the Stakes offers a complete set of horse show classes and several three-event spectaculars. For nine days, the top horses and riders in the country will vie for $500,000 in payouts and a plethora of prizes.

NRHA Board of Directors Concludes August Meeting
The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Board of Directors met via video conference to conduct association business. The agenda included 2021 rule change proposals, review of the proposed 2021 fees policy and a financial report among other items of business.

DQHA Takes Steps Toward Realignment with AQHA
