The 2019 edition of the Austrian Reining Horse Association 3-year-old Futurity counted 44 horses entered in the Open. Early in the qualifying go round, past IRHA Futurity Champion of Italy, Cristian Dalla Pozza, aboard Captains Doc Badger (AB Captain Badger x Kay Sarah) set the bar by posting a 219.5 score. The stallion, bred by Dario Carmignani and owned by Angelucci Quarter Horses, and his rider closed by taking the lead in Level (L)3 and L2 Open divisions.

Gunners Special Nite does it again: He has unofficially become the newest National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Three Million Dollar Sire. He reached this milestone less than one year after joining the NRHA Two Million Dollar Sire list in September 2018.

The Non Pro preliminary round of the 2019 National Reining Horse Association Derby presented by Markel Insurance kicked off on Monday, June 17. Just a few runs into the first section, power went out across the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds. A construction vehicle had cut a power line, trapping the operator in the rig due to live electric wires.

Hollywoodstinseltown has unofficially become the newest National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Two Million Dollar Sire, thanks to the recent success of his offspring at the National Reining Breeders Classic (NRBC) in Katy, Texas. Shining In Town won just under $23,000, Miss Whizzletown earned in excess of $17,900, and Hollywooddirtysecret took home $8,750, shooting their sire above the $2 million mark. Hollywoodstinseltown is by the late NRHA Hall of Fame Inductee and Six Million Dollar Sire Hollywood Dun It and out of Hall of Fame Inductee Miss Tinseltown.
