The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) European Affiliate Championship, managed by NRHA Denmark and NRHA Norway, provided yet another day of intense competition. No doubt about it. Rollz Royce, sired by Dual Smart Rey, owned the Metallic Cat NCHA Classic Challenge Open Finals, following a riveting 229-point run under Beau Galyean, for owner Thomas Guinn, Philadelphia, Miss. Jody McGlothlin’s win aboard Somethingtobelievein in Wednesday’s NCHA Classic Challenge Non-Pro Limited might not have been quite as thrilling as her win on the talented mare in the 2016 NCHA Futurity Non-Pro Limited, but as their last run together in Will Rogers Coliseum, it was equally as significant. McGlothlin scored 222 points to claim the Classic Challenge Non-Pro Limited championship, while Lucchese Cogdell took reserve with 219 points, and Kolby Don Moore placed third with 217.5 points, in the 12-rider field.

The second day of the $23,800-added National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) European Affiliate Championship and $21,800-added NRHA Show held at the Tuse Creek Ranch in Regstrup, Denmark, offered a full day of reining competition in the beautiful Mega Arena. Today, the first Championship crown was conquered and it took a run-off to determine who would wear it.

Langston Pattillo’s 222-point score aboard High Stylin CD, on the first day of the Metallic Cat NCHA Summer Spectacular Classic Challenge Non-Pro go-round, held through the last day of first go-round competition, and was never topped. But four riders on the last day of the 137-rider go-round gave spectators a “finals worthy” thrill with four 220-point scores in near succession, during the last set of the day.
