For the first time, The Ohio Quarter Horse Association (OQHA) is proud to announce that the All American Quarter Horse Congress (AAQHC) will host two separate Western youth draw-based competitions beginning with the Youth Equestrian Development Association (YEDA) on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 and Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) on Thursday, October 8, 2020 in Columbus, Ohio.

With this partnership, OQHA will cross-promote with YEDA and IEA in a variety of methods that will benefit all three organizations to reach their goals.

The National Reining Breeders Classic has announced a postponement of the event, which had been rescheduled to May 24-31 at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas.

The American Quarter Horse Association has made the decision to cancel the AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships, AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals, AQHA Cattle Level 1 Championships, and National Ranch and Stock Horse Alliance National Championships scheduled for June 23-27 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Taylor Toves was sitting inside his RV on the campgrounds of the Lazy E Arena ranch when his cell phone buzzed late Saturday night.
Toves glanced down and saw he had a text message from five-time PBR World Finals qualifier Colby Yates, who was also sitting in an RV of his own across the parking lot.

NCHA received word on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, that NCHA Hall of Fame Rider John Tolbert, 64, Andrews, Texas, has passed away.
Tolbert’s many accomplishments as a trainer include the 1993 NCHA Futurity championship win on Bobs Smokin Joe, and the 1985 NCHA Super Stakes co-championship on Boons Sierra. He also claimed two NCHA Futurity reserve championships, in 1984 on Boons Sierra, and in 1991 on Mr Peponita Flo, and was champion of the 1988 PCCHA Futurity on Lenas First Patent.
