Last week the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) announced that they will resume show approvals beginning April 27 recommending show producers and affiliates follow local and state guidelines to ensure the safety of their members while establishing best practices. The Executive Committee reviewed decisions regarding NCHA earnings and is looking forward to a safe return to horse shows. This timeline will continue to be evaluated as more guidelines are released from local and state officials. NCHA will provide a two week notice of any changes.

Fabiano Vieira received a few phone calls to go get on some practice bulls over the past few weeks when the PBR was on hiatus because of the COVID-19 outbreak worldwide.
The longtime veteran, though, politely turned down the opportunity. Not only did he want to continue to social distance at home with his family, he also does not see the need to get on bulls every day like he used to during his younger years.

Following a 41-day hiatus, the PBR and its Unleash The Beast returned to action under strict health protocols and in a closed-to-the-public environment at the Lazy E Arena this past weekend in Oklahoma.

Fabiano Vieira became the fourth-oldest bull rider in PBR history to win a premier series event as the 37-year-old went a perfect 3-for-3.

At one of the most significant events in PBR (Professional Bull Riders) history, a veteran cowboy from Brazil put on a bull riding clinic to win the event marking the return of live professional sports in North America.
Bucking in an eerily empty arena closed to the public in observation of strict health protocols, Fabiano Vieira (Perola, Brazil) was the lone rider to deliver a flawless 3-for-3 performance. The 37-year-old Brazilian took the event buckle, $11,000 and 104 world points awarded at the Unleash The Beast PBR Las Vegas Invitational, presented by Union Home Mortgage, at the iconic Lazy E Arena.

Two sophomore riders on the elite series stood tallest while the world’s top rider increased his lead in the championship chase.

The last two months have been quite the whirlwind for world leader Jose Vitor Leme.
Leme had begun the 2020 season on an absolute tear, which is an understatement in many ways, by winning three of the first nine Unleash The Beast events and taking home a seven round wins.
The 23-year-old had ridden 20 of his first 27 bulls, was converting at a blistering 74.07% pace, and had quickly assured everyone that there would be no hangover following a heartbreaking defeat to two-time World Champion Jess Lockwood at the 2019 PBR World Finals through the first two months of the season.
