A Successful Finale for a Successful Seaon

The HUBSIDE JUMPING 2020 will come to a close with this final week of competition in Grimaud, France. For four months, the Gulf of Saint-Tropez has been evolving in sync with the best of international show jumping. Four months during which the discipline's world stars have practically made the HUBSIDE JUMPING their weekly base.

The second week of the Fall Tour started on Thursday with the last CSI 4* of the Hubside season where it was a win for French Julien Epaillard riding Usual Suspect d'Auge, in front of his fellow countryman Mathieu Billot aboard Bad Boy du Bobois, and Brazilian Marlon Modolo Zanotelli with d'Icarus between the reins. “I can say that we were pretty lucky today,” said Epaillard who touched a pole which fortunately did not fall. “There were some pretty cool contestants but entering in the jump off eleventh, I knew we had to risk it all. I think that what pushed me even more was Emanuele Guadiano and Carlotta’s fault since they are pretty dangerous when it comes to going fast! Unusual Suspect d’Auge is in great form so it made it easier to go for it.”

On Friday it was all about Maikel van der Vleuten and Dana Blue. The Dutchman and his mount showed off their great form in the barrage which counted ten combinations. At the end of the day, van der Vleuten closed in front of Great Britain’s Scott Brash riding Hello Mr President, and Belgian Olivier Philippaerts with Le Blue Diamond V’T Ruytershof.
