When Andrew Alvirez was just 10 years old, he used to dream to his mom about the future of bull riding.
“Mom,” he would say, “how cool would it be if the PBR had a gym like any other professional sport?”
Now 23 years old, Alvidrez makes regular trips to the PBR Sport Performance Center (SPC) in Pueblo, Colorado – a facility that’s the first of its kind to cater primarily to bull riding and Western sports as a whole.

It does not matter who two-time World Champion J.B. Mauney is referring to.
The doubters.
The haters.
The critics.
The armchair social media bull riders.
What is important is that Mauney believes in himself.

Taylor Toves was sitting inside his RV on the campgrounds of the Lazy E Arena ranch when his cell phone buzzed late Saturday night.
Toves glanced down and saw he had a text message from five-time PBR World Finals qualifier Colby Yates, who was also sitting in an RV of his own across the parking lot.

Fabiano Vieira received a few phone calls to go get on some practice bulls over the past few weeks when the PBR was on hiatus because of the COVID-19 outbreak worldwide.
The longtime veteran, though, politely turned down the opportunity. Not only did he want to continue to social distance at home with his family, he also does not see the need to get on bulls every day like he used to during his younger years.

Following a 41-day hiatus, the PBR and its Unleash The Beast returned to action under strict health protocols and in a closed-to-the-public environment at the Lazy E Arena this past weekend in Oklahoma.

Fabiano Vieira became the fourth-oldest bull rider in PBR history to win a premier series event as the 37-year-old went a perfect 3-for-3.

At one of the most significant events in PBR (Professional Bull Riders) history, a veteran cowboy from Brazil put on a bull riding clinic to win the event marking the return of live professional sports in North America.
Bucking in an eerily empty arena closed to the public in observation of strict health protocols, Fabiano Vieira (Perola, Brazil) was the lone rider to deliver a flawless 3-for-3 performance. The 37-year-old Brazilian took the event buckle, $11,000 and 104 world points awarded at the Unleash The Beast PBR Las Vegas Invitational, presented by Union Home Mortgage, at the iconic Lazy E Arena.

After a 41 day hiatus, the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) returned to competition tonight at Lazy E Arena in Oklahoma in an event closed to fans and observing strict health protocols.
Forty one of the world’s best bull riders and the rankest bucking bulls on the planet took to the dirt for the eleventh elite Unleash The Beast event of the season – the PBR Las Vegas Invitational, presented by Union Home Mortgage.
Two sophomore riders on the elite series stood tallest while the world’s top rider increased his lead in the championship chase.

The last two months have been quite the whirlwind for world leader Jose Vitor Leme.
Leme had begun the 2020 season on an absolute tear, which is an understatement in many ways, by winning three of the first nine Unleash The Beast events and taking home a seven round wins.
The 23-year-old had ridden 20 of his first 27 bulls, was converting at a blistering 74.07% pace, and had quickly assured everyone that there would be no hangover following a heartbreaking defeat to two-time World Champion Jess Lockwood at the 2019 PBR World Finals through the first two months of the season.

It was an announcement that many riders were hoping to hear for more than a month now.
The official word came late Friday afternoon on social media when PBR CEO Sean Gleason informed PBR riders and fans that the organization is ready to buck bulls once again.

PBR is Coming Back

PBR CEO Sean Gleason announces PBR is returning to competition with a televised event on April 25-26.

PBR events will resume for television on April 25-26 from the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
Since leaving Duluth, GA, one month ago, where we were one of the last sports in North America to hold an event, we’ve been preparing for our return to competition with closed, made-for-television events.
