Nicola Cordioli and Late Little Whiz take the ARHA 3-year-old L2 Open Championship

In a field of 23 finalists, Nicola Cordioli from Italy and Andrea Pengo’s Late Little Whiz (Walla Walla Whiz x Late Little Jaba) scored a 216.5 claiming the L2 Open Futurity Championship. Nicola Cordioli mit Andrea Pengos Late Little Whiz (Walla Walla Whiz x Late Little Jaba).

Austrian Valentina Sagmeister and Whiz Ninja Orima (Laredo Whiz x  Jacflame ) earned the Reserve Championship for owner and breeder Helmut Schulz scoring a 215.5. With a score of 213, Italian Alois Kompatscher and his stallion bred by Heike Melanie Eber, Welcometothejungle (Hang Ten Surprize x MS Title Nine), placed third.


Saul Luca Bruzzi & Danger Trash

Taking home the L1 Open Futurity Championship with a 212 was Saul Luca Bruzzi aboard Danger Trash (Gunnatrashya x Holiday With Peppy), a mare bred by Emanuele Colleoni and owned by Soc. Agricola CD Horses SR. Bruzzi had already taken the lead in the qualifier with Austrian Gabriele Wendlinger who took the Reserve Championship — a half point behind — with her gelding bred by Sonja Mammel, Gunfighting Smurf (Gunners Smokin Oak x A Fancy Misty Glo).

Italian Ezio Rigoni placed third with a 209 score aboard Carlo Ambrosini’s mare bred by Luigi Parise, PL Spooks Gotta Whiz (Spooks Gotta Gun x Little Dolly Whiz).

Daniela Saupe and Smart N Surprising sweep the ARHA 4-year-old L2 and L1 Open Futurity Championships

With a 220.5 Daniela Saupe from Germany and her Smart N Surprising (Smart Spook x Just Miss Enterprise), the highest scoring duo of the qualifier, went on to win the L2 and L1 Open 4-year-old Futurity Championships.

Giovanni Masi de Vargas aboard Mariangela Di Pierro’s Bugs At Nite (Gunners Special Nite x Scats Ebony Shiner) posted a 219.5 to take the Reserve Championship. The stallion, bred by Sheryl A Kaefer, boasts the 2019 NRHA European Futurity L2 Open title and is a 2018 NRHA Germany Breeders Futurity finalist with Masi de Vargasin the saddle.

Sliding to the L1 Open Reserve Championship was Levin Ludwig of Germany with Hans Isler‘s Einsteins Resolve (Einsteins Revolution x Charleys Smart Miss) between the reins.

Franziska Wallner and Shes Jerseylicious: ARHA 3-year-old Level 1 Non Pro Futurity Non Pro Champions 

After posting the second highest score in the qualifier of the ARHA 3-year-old Level (L)1 Non Pro Futurity, German Franziska Wallner went on to post a 210 in the Final taking home the Championship. The 18-year-old rider from Germany rode her own Shes Jerseylicious, a mare by Yellow Jersey out of Shiney Enterprise bred by McQuay Stables of Taioga, TX.

“I’m so happy and still cannot believe we,” said Wallner. “We purchased this mare last year at the Legacy Sale. She was great in the go round, where we scored a 212.5, and in the final she really showed us how big her heart is.” For the young rider, this is yet another success to add to her accolades after winning the IRHA L1 Non Pro Derby and making the finals in both the NRHA European Derby L4 Non Pro and the NRHA Germany Breeders Derby.

Two riders tied for the Reserve Championship: Luca Ottaviani aboard Im A Snappy Dunit (LMC Im Topsail Dunit x Gingersnapple), a mare bred by Franco Cozza, and Alicja Olejnik aboard her mare CSG Lean With Gun (Colonels Shining Gun x Fly Flashy Whiz).

Veit Ostermaier and Burning Down Da House take the ARHA 4-year-old L1 Non Pro Futurity Non Pro Championship

With a score of 215.5 Veit Ostermaier of Germany clinched the ARHA L1 Non Pro Futurity Championship with his gelding Burnin Down Da House (Great Sun Burst x Whiz And Charm). Burnin Down Da House was bred by Martina Sgarzani. Kara Sarasova from the Czech Republic and her KH Yankee Step (Rowdee Yankee x Step A Little Closer) placed second scoring a 215. Third place honors with a 214.5 went to 19-year-old Nina Dan from Austria aboard her Blue Eye Gunlady (HF Mobster x Darlene Enterprize).
