With the 9-year-old stallion Coeurs Little Tyke, owned by Hans Georg Holzwarth, Ludwig earned the team and individual gold medal at the 2019 FEI European Championship for Seniors. With the 8-year-old stallion Gunners Chic Magnet, owned by Josef and Tamara Ahorner, Morawitz clinched the 2019 Maturity L4 Open title in Wels, Austria, as well as the NRHA European Affiliate Champion Intermediate Open title.
Ludwig also rode his second horse, past NRHA Open World Champion Nu Chexomatic, a 12-year-old palomino stallion owned by Jac Point Quarters tying for fifth place with a 218 score. Markus Süchting and Spotlight Charly owned by Suanne Shoeling tied for fifth place. Three riders tied for eighth place with a 217: Nico Sicuro riding Iam Sailors Brother for owner Fabio Merola; NRHA Two Million Dollar Rider Bernard Fonck with Missedouttinseltown owned by Golden Paint Ranch and Klaus Lechner aboard his own Cody Rooster Delmaso. Fabien Boiron of France follows in eleventh place with Jac Whiz and a 215 score. Also qualifying for the finals and tying for eight place was Sicuro and Sugar Little Step owned by QUARTER DREAM, Pattrick Göschl with AC Mark This Slide owned by @Klaus Ganzenmueller and NRHA Million Dollar Rider Rudi Kronsteiner aboard AB Peppy Diamond owned by Jenny Nixdorf. The three posted a 214.5, the bubble score to make the final.

Austrian Professional Klaus Lechner and TINSELTOWNSMOKINGUN (NRHA Eleven Million Dollar Sire Gunner x Miss Tinseltown) added yet another star to their show record by winning the Americana 2019 NRHA Intermediate Open Bronze Trophy with a 219. The flashy 9-year-old sorrel stallion’s achievements include multiple European event championships: with owner Julia Gaupmann Lechner in the saddle, Tinseltownsmokingun earned the 2017 NRHA European Affiliate Champion Intermediate Non Pro Championship. Klaus, who took home first place honors in the 3-year-old Austrian Reining Horse Association Level 3 Open Futurity shortly before the AMERICANA, was part of the Austrian team with this stallion at the 2019 FEI European Championship for Seniors. “This amazing stallion was at the breeding station until July so we did not have much time to train him. But he with me all the time. He is always there doing his best, and so are his foals,” said Klaus who also rode Cody Rooster Delmaso to fourth place with 217.
Niklas Ludwig and Margot van Doorne's 6-year-old Mr Ricochet (Ricochet Rooster x Docs Oak Rosy) placed second scoring a 218.5. Markus Süchting and Spotlight Charly (As Smart As Charly x Sweet Steppin Cody) placed third for owner Susanne Schöning.
